EggTrust - Tiki Yoshi

Here it is, the first REAL EggTrust pic (the Cheesie one was stripped of its status due to… gender confusion…)! This is supposed to be of the user ~Tiki-Yoshi - a friend of mine whom has been trying to build up her reputation through her drawings. Check out her gallery, the drawings are actually of an excellent quality and very eye-pleasing… and if you like what you see, you can even buy a commission off of her (It’s a very good deal, IMO. I recommend it.). Anyway, now that my promoting of Tiki is done…

To be honest, Tiki wasn’t originally going to be the first for the EggTrust thing I’ve started. Another person was intended, but due to losing interest in the drawing I’ve kind of dropped it (much of it was done, too…). Also, because of a little dispute I had with Tiki in the past (I said some harsh words to her on Yoshi Lore about a month or so ago), this is also intended to be an apology… yeah, I know I said I was sorry, but I felt it wasn’t enough. Let’s see, with this drawing, this is the… third gift-art I’ve given her. Aren’t I nice? To her, anyway…?

About the drawing now, this is definitely the most accurate drawing I’ve done of Tiki. The only exceptions are the ankle bracelet and tattoo on her left arm – the ankle bracelet is a nostalgia thing, since some of the early drawings of Tiki had metal bracelets on her wrists and ankles. That’s there just to look back. The tattoo was of my own tastes; I dunno, I just felt like putting a little sun tattoo on her arm… it looks good if you ask me. The strawberries are there due to the fact that lovable Tiki seems to have quite a loving of the fruit… that kind of brings me to a question; how come Yoshi’s Story didn’t have any strawberries? Come on, strawberries are great (although I kind of like pineapples better)! Anyway…

As of July 5, 2006, I deem this as my best Yoshi work to date! I’m very proud of the results. I also wanted to try a different kind of shading, so I placed the primary lighting behind Tiki (the sun) to change the angle of shade. I like how it came out… I was actually very afraid that it would ruin the drawing. I’m glad it didn’t.

Anyway, I hope Tiki enjoys this as much I do…
